Brian Welch is a rocker and an unlikely Christian. In 2005, Welch left the heavy metal band Korn after accepting Jesus and conquering his drug addiction. Two years after he left the group, Welch wrote his autobiography. In the book, Welch wrote about his addiction to alcohol, methamphetamine, Xanax and other drugs. Welch recounts that embracing life as a new believer in Christ was the key to his victory over his addictions.
“I spent my whole life dreaming about being a rock star and famous, and once it happened it was fun and cool, but it wasn’t what I thought it would be. It didn’t satisfy me. What satisfies me is peace in life, and to meet God,” said Welch.
