Actor Armie Hammer was arrested at a Texas border control checkpoint after a drug sniffing dog discovered marijuana in his car. Hammer spent just over a day in jail before paying the $1,000 bond. He had 0.02 ounces of marijuana, three medicinal marijuana cookies and one brownie at the time of his arrest.
The District Attorney in El Paso decided not to prosecute, but could still decide to press charges.
Hammer starred in “J. Edgar” with Leonardo DiCaprio. He also appeared in the movie “The Social Network.”
