The program of drug addiction has touched every city and town in the country. Dalton, Georgia is no exception. The town now has its first residential addiction treatment center for women, thanks to Providence Ministries.
“We are a Christian ministry, and we saw the need for a Christian, in-house residential drug and alcohol treatment center for women,” said Roy Johnson, the founder and director of Providence Ministries.
The center opened a little over two weeks ago and the community has been very welcoming. The home can accommodate 14 women at one time.
“We already have eight women in it and we haven’t even announced it. That shows there is a huge need for it.”
