Josh Hamilton is enjoying life as a baseball player in the World Series. The Texas Rangers are not just Hamilton’s team, they are his extended family. After Hamilton was first drafted in 1999, he developed a drug and alcohol addiction that threatened to end his baseball career. Once Hamilton embraced Jesus Christ as his Savior, his life began to improve.
“It’s a God thing,” said Hamilton. He is not reticent about sharing his story with others, and is adamant that his faith is what keeps him on the right and sober path.
Every time Hamilton comes up to the plate at Texas Rangers home games, the Casting Crowns song “Until The Whole World Hears” plays for him. Hamilton is proud of his recovery, his faith and his family.
And hopes his team will win the World Series.
