Sam Hurd Arrested on Federal Drug Charges
Chicago Bears receiver Sam Hurd has been arrested on federal drug charges. Hurd was arrested in Chicago after an attempt to buy drugs from a supplier in North Texas. Hurd played for the Dallas Cowboys from 2006 to 2010.
The criminal complaint accuses Hurd of conspiring to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.
“We are aware of Sam’s arrest and are continuing to gather details surrounding it,” said the Chicago Bears in a statement. “We are disappointed whenever these circumstances arise. We will deal with them appropriately once have all the information.”
