A woman in Long Island was the sixth arrest in 36 days for driving under the influence of prescription drugs and alcohol.
Alicia Tysz, 28, was arrested in Middle Island after police spotted her driving the wrong way on a highway in Suffolk County. Tysz was charged with driving while her ability was impaired. She also received citations for driving the wrong way and crossing a double yellow line.
Last month on Long Island, a police officer was killed in a wrong way crash on the Northern State Parkway. An impaired driver under the influence of prescription drugs was responsible for the accident.
