“You may have been drunk at church, but you’ve never been to Drunk Church.”
Every week at The Treatment Center we have a Drunk Church service with our lead pastor, Phil Dvorak. This church service is offered to all of our patients, not just those in the Christian Road Less Traveled program. Many people who enter a rehab facility discover their Higher Power for the first time in their lives. Making the decision to surrender their lives to Christ, or renew their faith in Him, is a powerful experience and an invitation for change that we want to be part of.
Similar to a regular church service, Drunk Church begins with worship songs such as “Our God (is Greater)” and “I Lift My Hands.” Although the messages change from week to week, there are a few things that remain constant. At Drunk Church, our pastors have the opportunity to unapologetically share God’s love and His grace. Grace is God’s undeserved favor to us, and no matter what we have done in our pasts, His unconditional love remains constant. By having faith in Jesus Christ, we are provided with a daily source of hope and encouragement.
At the Road Less Traveled program, we have licensed Christian addiction counselors, medical doctors and pastors who wish to guide our patients in deepening their faith and reliance on Christ to continue improving their lives. For those who do not come into our facility as Christians but have an interest in learning about Christ, Drunk Church is a great place to start. After all, those who seek Him will find Him.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
“There is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”
