Friday Inspiration from Father Ron
Many people believe when it comes to living our life and getting through the ups and downs that it’s more about our attitude and less about the events. No one of the nearly 6.7 billion people on the planet is exempt from pain, failure, and setback. What makes the difference for all the citizens of the earth is the manner in which we integrate our life-lessons from experiences and the attitudes with which we process them. Why is it that some always see the glass half empty, others see the glass half full? Attitudes make the difference!
Charles Swindoll writes, “The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude is more important than facts, more important than the past, education, money, more important than circumstances, failures, success. Attitude is more important than what other people think, say or do, more important than appearance, gifted-ness or skill. Attitude will make or break a company, a church, a home, a family. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… nor the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitude, and ultimately our Life!”
So this Friday, let us take time to check or adjust our attitudes and strive for attitudinal healing. We have so little to complain about when we remember in prayer our suffering brothers and sisters. So make sure to cultivate an attitude of gratitude for the blessings of life, and consider our life is 10% the events and 90% our attitudes about them.
In loving memory of Father Ron Beshara.
