Romans 5:8 – But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Do you remember when Christ called you? While we were still sinners.
Luke 5:30-32 says this: 30 – But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law who belonged to their sect complained to his disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” 31 – Jesus answered them, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. 32 – I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
Let us never forget that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Let us remember that those who have been forgiven much should love much. Let us not rest until we have shared this Gospel with every last drug addict, every last alcoholic, every last thief, prostitute, codependent, every family holding on by a thread, every last hurting person we can find.
I want us to be a church of outcasts, a church who welcomes the broken hearted, the lost, and the sick. Let’s be a church filled with sinners saved by the Grace of Christ.
Will you pray with me?
Lord Thank you for the work you’ve done in my life. Thank for revealing to me the wretch of a man I was. Let me never forget how much you love me. Let each of us share that forgiveness and that love without hesitation. Lord let us be a people known by love, by your love flowing through us. Let this love be so captivating that people are drawn to you like never before. WE love because you first loved us Lord. Help us to share that love.
In your name we pray, Amen.
