A Long Island man pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter this week that killed a police officer. Jose Bourbon, 24, (yes, that is his real name), admitted to driving drunk in February 2009 when his car struck Glen Ciano’s patrol car. The impact of the car crash sent Ciano’s car into a traffic pole, where it subsequently burst into flames.
Bourbon will be sentenced on December 22. He faces between five and fifteen years in prison.
