Meet Allison Good

We are thrilled to announce and have you meet Allison Good. Allison is a new The Road Less Traveled, now Road to Freedom, blog contributor. She is the Director of Women’s Ministry & Volunteer Development, at The Avenue Church Delray Beach. We had an opportunity to hear Allison’s amazing testimony, and learn helpful interventions for people struggling with addictions at the Winning The Battle Over Addiction. The Winning The Battle Over Addiction Conference took place May 2012, last month.

Allison Good’s Journey

Originally from Queens New York, Allison Good has been in South Florida since 2002. Her passion for pointing women and their families to Jesus Christ for authentic beauty, identity and worth emerged to her own surprise from her greatest adversities. In addition to her love for community, reading, writing, traveling, laughing and the beach, Allison loves to spend her time encouraging and challenging others with the gospel of Jesus and witnessing the God stories that follow. Through her diverse experiences and responsibilities with Spanish River Church and multiple church plants from Croatia to Haiti to Deerfield and now Delray Beach – Allison discovered her ministry calling and had her gifting confirmed by others.

Role in the Community

Known for being the Recovery/Halfway house capital of the country, Allison knows her calling to Delray has her involved in a story bigger than her own. Through her own battles with numerous addictions, all kinds of abuse and her ministry experience in these areas, Allison loves nothing more than to watch the transformation God works in people’s lives as they discover the truth about His Son Jesus. Having experienced the freedom that comes with this transformation it is now her great joy to share this hope with everyone she can.

We look forward to sharing Allison’s blogs in the coming months and are sure you will be inspired by her message of freedom and transformation. Thank you for meeting Allison Good!
