Rhyder Gray is thankful to God that he ended up in jail. This is not Gray’s first time in prison and he is no stranger to drug and alcohol addiction.
When Gray was arrested last June in a hotel room for methamphetamine possession and use, he quickly turned his energy and troubles over to God.
“Everything became intensified, and I just dropped to my knees and pled out, ‘God, do something. I give my life over to you, because I can’t do it,” Gray said.
Gray is active in the prison ministry and believes he has found his purpose in life. And it is a life free from drug and alcohol addiction.
“I spend 90 percent of my time helping others. I tell them about God, I preach the word of God. I’m currently tutoring a guy to help read. My calling in life would be to help people.”
