Russian Beauty Queen Goes To Court-Ordered Drug Rehab

A former beauty queen from Russia was released from Rikers Island Prison in New York and sent directly to a court-ordered drug rehab. “I’m just very happy to get out. I look forward to getting better,” Anna Malova said. Malova is now ordered to complete a year of treatment in a court-supervised substance abuse program. It was alleged that Malova repeatedly forged prescriptions for Vicodin on pads taken from her physicians. She was also charged with drug possession, as well as shoplifting from a downtown New York clothing store. If Malova completes the drug treatment program, her charges will be dismissed. If she fails to complete the program, Malova could be deported back to Russia.
