In Albany, Georgia there is a unique bakery making delicious treats. It is a part of Graceway, a Christian substance abuse treatment center for women. The employees of the bakery are women at Graceway who are fighting drug addiction.
The Bread House offers a safe and secure work environment and delivers more than yummy cookies, muffins and breads. All of the profits from the sales at The Bread House go to help other women in recovery.
“I was too proud to ask for help,” said Shannon Burke, who does much of the bakery at The Bread House. “But God did for me what I could not do for myself.”
Burke said that the bakery not only saved her life, but it changed her life.
