Drug and Alcohol Abuse in Quincy, MA
According to the Bureau of Substance Abuse Services (BSAS), the most commonly abused substances in Quincy include heroin, alcohol, cocaine and crack. Massachusetts is currently facing a heroin epidemic and many Quincy residents have become addicted to opiates. In 2012, more than half of the Quincy residents at BSAS facilities were treated for heroin dependence.
Many Quincy residents are also being treated for alcohol dependence. Last year, 31 percent of residents were admitted to treatment centers for alcohol addiction. There are thousands more people suffering from alcoholism and not receiving the necessary addiction treatment.
Although cocaine is not abused as often as heroin and alcohol, it is still a concern for The Bay State. In addition to the abovementioned drugs, Quincy residents are also abusing prescription opioids, Molly, crystal meth and marijuana.
No matter what substance you are addicted to, Road to Freedom can help you achieve and maintain long-term sobriety.
